Rogan Nash Architects on the Super Creative Podcast (Episode 115)
Kate and Eva recently sat down with Catie Dawson for an episode of the Super Creative Podcast, and it turned into one of those conversations that made us stop and reflect on how much has happened over the past 14 years.
We talked about starting Rogan Nash Architects together, building a creative partnership that has lasted this long, and the less glamorous side of running a design practice: making decisions, trusting your instincts, listening carefully, working through the hard parts, and figuring out what kind of practice you actually want to build.
One thing we kept coming back to was our decision to deliberately stay small and hands-on. We like knowing our clients, staying close to the design process, and having architecture and interiors sitting together around the same table rather than handled separately.
We also spoke about long-term client relationships, the creative process, and why the best design decisions sometimes come from stepping away, resetting, and trusting your gut.
It was a lovely opportunity to reflect on the business we’ve built together, and on the things that matter to us beyond the projects themselves.
Thank you to Catie Dawson for such a thoughtful conversation, and for creating a space where we could talk about the realities of building a creative practice, not just the polished version of it.
